So, its been a long time since I posted anything on here. I did a couple of designs a while ago, but I forgot to take pictures. Y'all should see a lot more stuff in the near future. Stay tuned.

bizarre. i am so into henna at times it hurts. a friend of mine did it for like, 2 summers straight.
it was kinda our thing.
we stopped because.... i don't know why.
anyways. where do you get the powder(i assume you make your own paste by the color) and what recipe do you use for your paste? do you lemon sugar it or something else? i am oh so curious now.

Actually, I don't make my own paste, at least not yet. I haven't had time to. I get the paste in tubes from a hippie grocery store down the street from where I live. It is cheap enough and a good enough quality that I don't really need to make my own. I would like to I try out some recipes I have. They ask for lemon juice, sugar, tea leafs, eucaliptus (sp?) oil, etc. There are a bunch of other ingredents that they recommend but thoughs are just to change the smell, which I wouldn't want to do because it would delute the dye.

all teh past that i bought pre-fab was very dark and stinky... kind of scary.
how much is it and how is the stain?
i might need to trade you something for some because i feel the urge again
every summer i'd do the bottoms of both me feet (pain in the ass to wait to dry) and both palms, legs, arms, back... everything. a good thing to increase the length of the stain and the color is a simple solution of lemon juice and sugar (messy!) applied a few times and let dry over the paste. it keeps it moist longer. then wrap it in cotton and saran and leave it over night. again, pain in the ass, but well worth it if done right.
a less messy option is "new skin"... comes in a glass bottle, smells like cloves, makes a thick platicy layer of the henna paste to keep it moist longer and trap your body heat to make teh stain darker and tat stay longer.
